From July 6 to September 27, 2026, the Les Rencontres d’Arles festival will present the exhibition “Flower Power” in Arles.

A universal motif, the flower occupies a unique place in the history of photography. As an aesthetic subject, a cultural symbol, and an object of observation, it allows us to explore questions related to the representation of life and beauty, as well as the social and political uses of the image. Through this theme, the exhibition examines how photographers engage with the plant world to reveal its multiple meanings.

Throughout the exhibition, “Flower Power” offers an immersion in the various photographic approaches to the flower, highlighting the diversity of perspectives on this subject. The exhibition thus invites visitors to consider the flower as a field of visual and conceptual experimentation, at the intersection of art and contemporary concerns.
