    GAO LEI

    Gao Lei appartient à la génération post-80 qui est plus habituée à la diversité des valeurs de la société mondiale de l’information qu’à une idéologie et à un raisonnement individualiste. À travers ses œuvres de peinture, de photographie, d’installation et de techniques mixtes, l’artiste traverse librement les frontières du monde virtuel et de la réalité, créant ainsi un nouveau site de communication et un mécanisme de critique. À travers des approches non personnifiées, il explore également la manière dont le système de pouvoir caractérise la manière de penser individuelle et régule l’environnement social.

    Gao Lei est né à Changsha (Chine) en 1980. Diplômé de l’Académie Centrale des Beaux-Arts de Pékin en 2001, il termine ses études avec un Master dans le département des médias numériques en 2006. Il vit et travaille à Pékin.
